Nursing Philosophy

Nursing is the melding of science with the art of communication to persuade another human towards a state of wellness. Achieving this state takes skills unique to the nursing professional in all of its forms. Collaboration, procedural skill, knowledge of psychology, philosophy, evidence-based research, and cultural tendencies all aide the nurse to overcome challenges people may present to them. Generating solutions that are derived from critical thought and instinct is how a nurse functions to support the well-being of another; doing so with caring and empathy is the art.
