Out to Africa
Thank you High Mountain Health for letting me be a
part of your family. I feel privileged to work with
such great doctors, staff (Colleen, Julie, Jenn), and
patients. I will be taking my experience from High
Mountain Health onto my next stage in
life...Africa...yes....Mozambique, Africa.
For the next 2 years, I will be volunteering at a
faith-based Christian orphanage. There, I will be
taking care of the medical needs of 500 plus orphans
whose families were devastated by war, poverty, and
HIV/AIDS. After decades of war, Mozambique is now a
free country left with poverty and a collapsed social
infrastructure. Much of the children that I will be
working with have experienced traumas, witnessed
violence, starved, and are left to fend for
themselves- some at the tender age of 2. They
frequently have scabies, malaria, TB, and various
sorts of skin diseases....
Please pray for me as I care for these children.
Thank you again High Mountain Health and its wonderful
patients for your love and support. I will surely
bring to the African children your LOVE.
